Looks like bronze but is a bronze toned metal. The lady stands 4 inches high. The base, from front to back is 4 inches long. There is no loss to the bronze finish but a bit of white color within the basket weave. The set comes complete with a perfect Sheaffer green desk pen. The pen is restored and has a medium/stiff Lifetime nib.
Parker offered pastel bases in three different phases. Collectors call these Type I, II and III. This is a Type III base which is the last of the series and streamlined as were the pens of the period. I call this one Tutti Frutti although Parker had another name. It is in great condition with no flaws with full felt and decal.

In the ripple series the rose color is the most difficult to find. The material is quite fragile and not many of the pens (either pocket or desk) have survived. Here is an outstanding example with an oval base that has complimentary colors. The pen is restored and ready to use.
